Favorite Mac Hacks: Invert iTunes arrow links

In iTunes, the little grey arrows (which appear next to the track name, artist and album) by default will send you to the iTunes Music Store. If you hold down option while clicking the arrow, it will send you to matches in your own Library instead.

To reverse this function so that you don't need to hold down option to get to your own library, open Terminal and type:

defaults write com.apple.iTunes invertStoreLinks -bool YES

...then hit return. After you restart iTunes, the links will send you to matches in your library. (And now an option-click will send you to the iTMS.)

You can always go back to the default by issuing the reverse Terminal command:

defaults write com.apple.iTunes invertStoreLinks -bool NO
