On 4/23/94 the Black Top Blues-A-Rama revue at the House Of Blues, New Orleans was recorded by Tony Brooke with Cory Smith. The lineup included Earl King ("Come On (Let The Good Times Roll)," "Big Chief"), Robert Ward, Carol Fran (former Dew Drop Inn regular), Clarence Hollimon (legendary session guitarist, from Bobby 'Blue' Bland's 1950's Duke singles and many more), Guitar Shorty, Grady Gaines with Patrick Harris, W.C. Clark, Big Joe and the Dynaflows, and Alex Shultz. The backing band was the Black Top All-Stars: Nick Connelly, Sarah Brown and Carmen Jacobs with Mark "Kaz" Kazanoff and the Kamikaze Horns.

Tracks from this recording were released on WWOZ promotional albums, including "Smokin: The Sounds of New Orleans II."

This was part of a series of New Orleans Jazz Festival live broadcasts and recordings for WWOZ-FM by Tony during 1994 and 1995.
